Instructions for attaching EMT locknuts with EMT locknut wrench, socket set designed for 1/2", 3/4", 1", EMT applications.
Attach locknut to end of hand tool or 3/8 socket set ( Ratchet not provided ).
Align onto threaded connector and turn clockwise. Locknut will be released from end of tool ( Grabbers ) after enough turns and locknut starts getting tighter. Continue to tighten applying force until locknut is secured to connector.
To remove Locknuts, line up proper hand tool or socket set to Locknut and turn counter clockwise applying force until locknut is loose and is at the end of the tool or can be removed with fingers.
Optional: Use (Blue Locktite) adhesive , a little dab on threads of connector for applications that are required for code enforcement. We recommend using Blue Loctite to better secure and keep from coming loose and doing a more professional job. The Locknuts just need to be secured and snug tight, using Blue Locktite should help. The 1/2" Hand Tool could assist in the securing of the Rigid type locknut when using a deep box for recessed outlets or simply replace 1/2" Rigid locknut with 1/2" EMT locknut.
